Feon graduates from Shell GameChanger program and successfully scales electrolyte and cell production

Feon Energy has successfully concluded its participation in the Shell GameChanger program, marking an important step forward in scaling and validating its lithium-metal battery technology.

Key accomplishments include advancing cell production to the kWh level and securing a MWh-scale production line, positioning the company to support larger customer demand. In parallel, Feon expanded its validation processes, integrating both in-house and third-party testing to ensure battery performance and reliability at scale. The resulting cell datasets will be used to drive further optimization of electrolyte formulations and cell configurations and accelerate Feon’s path toward mass deployment.

As a final demonstration of its technology in the GameChanger program, Feon’s lithium-metal battery pack was successfully integrated into a first-person view (FPV) drone, delivering a 2.3x increase in flight time compared to a conventional lithium-ion battery with identical weight. These results underscore the potential of Feon’s advanced electrolyte and cell technologies to enable higher energy density and extended operational performance across critical applications, including air mobility.

Building on this momentum, Feon Energy is now focused on further optimizing performance and scaling production as it continues to push the boundaries of advanced battery technologies.
